Nurse Verification Tool For Employers

Employers are responsible for ensuring their employees have an active practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).

Use the CRNA’s dedicated Nurse Verification Tool for Employers, below, to verify the permit statuses of multiple employees at once and have the search results sent directly to your email.

Use the Tool

1. Register with the CRNA

To use the CRNA’s search tool for employers, you must sign up for the service. There is no cost to register or use this tool. Contact us at registration@nurses.ab.ca to begin the process.

2. Download the template file and complete the fields

You can download our sample file, and replace the contents with your own. You should have one person per row, with the first column containing the Employer ID that was given to you by the CRNA when you first registered for the Employer Lookup service.

3. Upload your completed file

4. Check your inbox

A few minutes after submitting your file, check your email. The CRNA will send the search result to the email address you provided when registering for this service.
